Altered Landscapes: Contemporary Photography in the Anthropocene
Professor and curator Mónica Carabias Álvaro holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary Art from the University Complutense of Madrid, and she is an specialist in Conservation and Restoration of Urban Heritage. She teaches Contemporary Art and Photography at the University of Madrid, and from 2009, she has been involved in R&D&i projects undertaken by the Agencia Estatal del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). Her main lines of research focus on the study of cultural heritage of photography during the Spanish postwar era as well as the women's role as both, subject and object in the world of art.
