Altered Landscapes: Contemporary Photography in the Anthropocene
María Antonia Blanco is a scholar and artist based in Seville, Spain. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, and she has taught History of Contemporary Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Seville. She was awarded with a four-year fellowship, and she conducted research on contemporary photography in American institutions for nine months. She has been awarded with the PhD Extraordinary Award, and she participates actively in specialized symposiums as well as in publishing scholar papers. Her lines of research focuses on the global awareness of current human-altered landscape photography and its multidisciplinary approach.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
