Juan Fernandez is an artist based in the suburbs of Chicago. He has taught photography at Elgin Community College, Northern Illinois University, Waubonsee Community College, and Grand Rapids Community College. His work references the perceptions of form, structure, and order in common materials and subject matter.
His photographs are in multiple collections including The Midwest Photographers Project at The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. He has exhibited in national and international shows including the Catherine Edelman Gallery, Rockford Art Museum, Boecker Contemporary in Heidelberg, Germany, the Griffin Museum of Photography, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock.
