Alexander Heilner is a multi-media artist who has been photographing the relationships between human infrastructure and the organic landscape for over twenty-five years. His award-winning fine art and documentary imagery has been exhibited and published internationally, from MoMA to Burning Man. His aerial photography has taken him to an array of locations around the U.S. and the world, where he records the marks humans unwittingly paint across the earth's surface, and the cultural forces they represent.
Alex lives in Baltimore, and teaches Photography at MICA, where he currently serves as the Associate Dean of Design and Media Studies.
