DASS transfer solutions and films can be used to transfer images onto almost any substrate thinkable. This workshop would cover preparing mixing the solution from a concentrate, preparing substrates for transfer, preparing digital files for printing onto film including color management and recommended printer settings, and final transfer of the image to substrate. Each participant will create two final pieces – one on aluminum and one on birch wood, although other materials are also possible to work with (handmade paper and glass are other examples). The transfers also remain malleable for a short time after transfer to the substrate from film, allowing for the modification and manipulation of the final image.
Limited to 10 participants. Workshops are first come, first served. Pending on available slots, you will be given the option to register for this workshop upon registering for the conference.
