David Johnson and Susan Moore
Friday, October 13 - 7:30PM to 9:00PM
Prairie Center of the Arts
In the realm of photography, the visualization of place has a long history. Images about place are often interwoven with documentary and landscape photography. In the work presented by these two photographers, place is ordered by a formal visual structure and a definitive quality of light. Moore's minimalistic images are defined by architectural structures that imply a narrative in an otherwise empty space. Johnson's work depicts the impact of humanity and the individual in pristine institutional places. Each of these bodies of work, depicts the relationship of humanity to the environment.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
