Are you interested in applying to academic teaching positions? Need help defining the difference between a CV and a resume? Want to know what to say in a cover letter to impress a search committee? In this 90 minute workshop, Associate Professor Margaret LeJeune, will share tips for writing a compelling cover letter, designing a CV that highlights your strengths, and putting together a teaching dossier that will help you stand out from the crowd. In this small group workshop, participants will learn how to find opportunities, how to decipher the language of job openings, and how to improve their writing to emphasize their strengths as candidates in a competitive job market. Participants are encouraged to bring draft materials for their teaching dossier, though this is not a requirement. Participation is limited to 12.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
