Edward Bateman is the head of the Photography and Digital Imaging area at the University of Utah. He has been included in six textbooks and contributed both text and images to Seizing the Light: A Social and Aesthetic History of Photography by Robert Hirsch. Mechanical Brides of the Uncanny, a signed and numbered book of his work was published by Nazraeli Press. Bateman has exhibited internationally in over 25 countries and is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Victoria & Albert Museum, The China Printmaking Museum, and Getty Research, among others.
