The Ride Along: Artist Krista Wortendyke and Chicago Police Officer Dan Dowling, two people with very different backgrounds and experiences, came together to create Killing Season Chicago, a data driven installation of images of the 172 homicide sites in Chicago during the summer of 2010. After meeting at a shooting range, they spent countless hours in the car together visiting and photographing the sites of homicides. In this session, Dowling and Wortendyke will interview each other about their unlikely collaboration, their experiences, and what they learned from each other in the process of making this piece.
