A Feminist View of the Landscape: An Intimate, Political and Emotional Relationship to the Land
Sant Khalsa is an artist and activist whose artworks develop from her impassioned inquiry into complex environmental and societal issues. Her works are widely shown, published and collected by LACMA, Center for Creative Photography, Nevada Museum of Art, and others. Khalsa is a recipient of fellowships and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, and California Council for the Humanities. She was honored as the inaugural recipient of the SPE Insight Award in 2012 for her significant contributions to the field of photography. She is a Professor of Art, Emerita at CSU San Bernardino.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
