Who Tells Your Story: Reimagining Broadway in Rural Nicaragua
Katie Fitzgerald is an artist who is living and working in Nicaragua. After taking a course called "Social Justice in the Arts" at her alma mater, Santa Clara University, Katie decided to dedicate her life to teaching and empowering others to use their art as a tool for social change. She is the founder of a nonprofit called Teatro Catalina which seeks to make theatre and arts education accessible in Nicaragua. Katie has a passion for storytelling and often uses visual media to highlight the stories of the artists she works with in Nicaragua and to also bring awareness to social issues that are affecting the country.
