A Feminist View of the Landscape: An Intimate, Political and Emotional Relationship to the Land
Charlotta María Hauksdóttir is an Icelandic artist, residing in California, working primarily in photography. Her work centers around the unique connection one has to places and moments in time, and how memories embody and elevate those connections. Charlotta graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with an MFA in Photography in 2004, and previously received a BA in Photography from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome, in 1997. Her award winning work has been exhibited widely and published in numerous books and magazines. Her work can be found in public and private collections all over the world.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
