Cynthia Bittenfield pursues projects that shed light on the human cost of war whether dealing with the issue of post-traumatic stress, documenting the sites of battlefields and atrocity, or considering life on the home front. Her work has been included in various shows nationwide. Bittenfield is a grant recipient from the School of Visual Arts, New York, where she received her MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media. Her photography and video projects are available online at www.bittenfield.com. She lives and works in New York City and is currently on the board of the Camera Club of New York.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
