Inspired by artist and educator Corita Kent's teaching practice, this hands-on workshop uses slow looking, photography, and a group zine to create community. Participants will use paper viewfinders during a walk near the conference site to slow down and pay attention to details they might normally pass by. They'll then make photographs based on what they noticed and come back together to share their experience. The photographs and observations will become a collaborative zine—a shared portrait of Sacramento created by the group.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
