Print Study for All is an initiative dedicated to supporting educators who serve culturally underserved communities—both urban and rural—by expanding access to curated photography portfolios. Each thematic collection features works by celebrated artists alongside emerging voices, offering a diverse range of perspectives and visual narratives.
More than a visual resource, these portfolios function as hands-on teaching tools, allowing students to engage directly with physical photographic prints. This tactile experience fosters deeper understanding and connection to contemporary photographic practice. Each educator receives a two-week loan period, providing time for in-depth exploration, dialogue, and critical reflection within the classroom.
To ensure seamless integration into existing curricula, every portfolio includes comprehensive support materials such as artist and juror statements, classroom-ready educational guides, and recommended reading lists. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to explore these materials, discover ways to implement them in their teaching, and discuss the value of accessible, object-based learning in photographic education.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
