UCR ARTS' California Museum of Photography offers hands-on photography, filmmaking, and media literacy workshops designed to support high school curriculum and engage students in creative learning. This presentation by the UCR ARTS' Education team will demonstrate how students can develop critical storytelling skills through direct access to a world-class collection of photographic prints, the largest camera collection in the American West, and thought-provoking original exhibitions. These museum-based experiences provide teachers with an enriching way to deepen classroom learning while giving students the opportunity to create and exhibit their own work in a professional arts environment.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
