Drawing on on the dialectic between images shared by authorities, versus the people, how image production/circulation leads to the production of sub-histories/sub-archives, and suggests an alternative history, and how image circulation leads to a spark for collective action, by examining the use if "images as resistance" within two movements in Iran;
1:Use of photography during the constitutional revolution (1906-1910)
2:Use of images (as circulated via social media) during the current Women, Life Freedom movement in Iran.
