Photography in Three Dimensions: Capturing The Silent Sentinels

Over the course of 2022, and with the assistance of a South Dakota Art Council grant and support from the Puffin Foundation Artist Grant, I began to embark on a new project that connects contemporary photographic capture methods, specifically photogrammetry and 3D scanning, with modern approaches to sculpture and physical output. The ongoing project, titled The Silent Sentinels examines the border line between the states of North and South Dakota, on which rest a series of stone monoliths that highlight the separation of a singular territory into its two current states.
