How do the functions of a greenhouse and photography intersect?
Consider the function of a greenhouse - to capture the sun's rays to nurture tiny plants growing inside. Imagine those life-giving rays channeled through transparent panels etched with the photographic portraits of gun violence victims.
House of the Living is a 1400 sq. ft. greenhouse where the original 410 glass panels will be replaced with acrylic panels engraved portraits of men and women lost to this senseless act. This project transforms the greenhouse and surrounding landscape into a safe, judgment-free space where the families and community can reflect and find peace.
