Tomiko Jones & Elizabeth Claffey
Friday, March 17 - 10:00AM to 10:45AM
Tower D
Elizabeth Claffey and Tomiko Jones will discuss their collaborative exhibition, "Thresholds," which is an ongoing project addressing memory, identity, labor, and death. As artists, Claffey and Jones aim to hold public space for experiences and emotions that are often expected to remain private. Both artists emphasize their own labor and ritual as an activism that shapes identity and strengthens their bond to place and family. They will talk about being in progress, collaborating to maintain momentum and deepen studio practice, and committing to each other's success.
