How to move from Awfulizing to Organizing
Caprice Lawless, AAUP, Contigent Faculty Caucus Invited Speaker

Caprice will explain how the unusual events and guerilla marketing techniques used by the AAUP in Colorado raised public and employee awareness of adjunct faculty exploitation, mobilized adjunct faculty to collaborate, petitioned lawmakers to act, led the charge in a House bill and then a Senate bill in the state legislature. She will explain how all of this work in AAUP Colorado will expand exponentially now that the historic AAUP - AFT affiliation will bring formal collective bargaining to Colorado higher education.
