Creativity in Quarantine
Saturday, October 17 - 5:30PM to 6:15PM
A flesh-centric collaboration between Robert P Gordon and Ashley Kaye, Milk and Honey explores and lampoons pop culture, partnership and the body. Started in 2019, and blossoming during quarantine, the artists collaborative practice thrives on limitation and adaptability. In this session Rob and Ashley will speak on their collaborative efforts, how they respond to limitations in their own practice, and how limitations can fuel creativity in the classroom. The session touches on themes of budgeting, recycling materials, embracing failure and spontaneity in the studio, always saying yes and finally, resorting to cannibalism. The session will conclude with an extended Q/A session where attendees can share strategies and challenges in their own practice and classrooms
