2019 SPE HONORED EDUCATOR
Arno Rafael Minkkinen is a Finnish-American photographer and essayist, currently Professor Emeritus at UMass Lowell and docent at Aalto University in Helsinki. A RISD MFA graduate, Minkkinen's career spans seven major monographs and a steady stream of solo exhibitions, group shows, collections, and publications worldwide. Recent American awards include a Lucie and the Guggenheim; in Finland, the Pro Finlandia, the nation's highest honor in the arts.
