Giancarlo Montes is a photographer based in New York. His work addresses the fraught relationships between sexuality, the body and space that both cohere and complicate the self. He is interested in the photograph's potential to create and acknowledge possibility through a movement between ontological positions. Giancarlo is finishing up his BFA in Photography at SUNY Purchase.
