Philadelphia Photo Arts Center - 1400 N. American
Panelists:
David Hartt

Meg Onli, Assistant Curator, Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania
The genesis of Hartt's film and photographic series are photographs by Robert Rauschenberg documenting his journey along the East Coast of the United States. Hartt repeated Rauschenberg's journey using a drone camera. The landscape shows an extreme concentration and stratification of wealth and power on the one hand and the marginalization and displacement of industry and the emergent precarity of environmental catastrophe on the other.
