Natalie Zelt is a PhD student in American Studies at the University of Texas, Austin. Her research focuses on photography's relationship to contemporary American culture, identity formation, and the politics of representation. Formerly the curatorial assistant for photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, she currently works in the photography department at the Harry Ransom Center at UT-Austin.
