Controlling color, luminance, and contrast in digital media is the very foundation for creativity and good color management workflow is vital. Teaching color management can be a challenge. A panel of educators moderated by Brenda K. Hipsher of MAC Group / PhotoVideoEDU.com, will consider some of the challenges and rewards of teaching color management in photo and video environments. The panel will consider the importance of understanding and communicating why color management is necessary and discuss basic settings for monitor calibration and printing. The panel will also look briefly at camera calibration and leave plenty of time for questions and comments. Ensuring that students and educators understand the importance of color management to their creative vision is the goal. Come with your questions and experiences.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
