Library Gallery, University of Maryland
A reception serving wine and other refreshments will be hosted at the Library Gallery for SPE members who RSVP for the gathering. Brief speeches of welcome, in honor of Stephen Marc, and about UMBC's nationally reputed Photography Collections will be presented. On view will be "N. Jay Jaffee Photographs from Public to Personal, 1947-1997." Jaffee (1921-1999) was a member of the Photo League whose early work documented the streets of New York, however, his mid-career and later work was more personal, introspective, and poetic.
Buses will transport attendees from the Hilton to UMBC (12 minutes away) on a staggered schedule with the first bus leaving the Hilton at 7:00 p.m. and the second bus leaving at 7:30 p.m. The first return bus will leave UMBC at 8:15.
