High School Educators Meeting

Thursday, March 06 - 1:00PM to 2:00PM
Holiday 2-3

Most students have their first experience with photography in our classrooms. We light the spark for students to develop the passion for image making, but many of us are doing it all by ourselves at our respective schools. We would like to take an opportunity at the beginning of the SPE convention to get all of the high school photography teachers together to be able to network and share some of our best practices in high school photography education. This will be an opportunity to share your curriculum structure, assessments, techniques, resources, gear, software, and more. We hope to discuss how to keep us connected and sharing even after the convention. Creating a high school photographic educators online community that will help us adapt and grow as our field expands and changes.

Jessica Michels attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for her BFA's and to Cardinal Stritch University for her MFA.
