Shannon Smith was born and raised in Kentucky where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Northern Kentucky University in 2001. She earned her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Arizona in 2006 and currently teaches photography courses at a college preparatory school in Tucson.
