Tour participants are to meet at 10:45 am in the Market Street Foyer to load the bus. Please have your name badge with you to verify ticket purchase. Pack your cameras and join your colleagues for a special bus excursion crossing the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands pausing at scenic overlooks to enjoy sweeping scenic vistas along the way. Destinations include Headlands Center for the Arts to tour the grounds and facilities as well as enjoy an organic lunch with current artists in residence. Next, re-board the bus to enjoy a visit to Cavallo Point Resort where Curator Anne Veh awaits our arrival to lead us on a tour through their diverse and private photography collection. The Marin Headlands covers various types of histories from the Miwok Indians to the Military, including historic Fort Barry and Fort Cronkhite, the NIKE Missile site and the 150 year-old Point Bonita lighthouse. Over 1,000 artists have worked with Headlands Center for the Arts in its various programs and providing an unparalleled environment for the creative process and the development of new work and ideas.
