"Looking at Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance, and the Camera Since 1870"
This lecture will examine Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance, and the Camera Since 1870, a major exhibition organized by SFMOMA and Tate Modern in 2010. Assistant Curator of Photography at SFMOMA, Lisa Sutcliffe, will explain the show's major themes: the unseen photographer, voyeurism and desire, witnessing violence, and surveillance, and discusses how the history and pervasiveness of voyeurism have shaped and been shaped by the camera.
