Shannon Smith takes you on a visual journey through the life she never quite envisioned for herself. Doing It Domestic was born through unplanned occurrences in Smith's life and still thrives in that manner. The colorful display of her family began as a portrayal of her inner feelings on becoming a mother early into her graduate school career while attempting to maintain some small piece of whom she felt she was before that. The work has grown, along with her children, and emerged into Smith's personal view and recreations of the daily explorations of her little family.
