Kalia Brooks is the exhibition director at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA). She is also an adjunct professor in the Photography and Imaging Department at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and currently a Ph.D. candidate in aesthetics and art theory with the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDVSA). Brooks received her MA in curatorial practice from the California College of the Arts in 2006, and was a Helena Rubinstein Fellow in Critical Studies at the Whitney Independent Study Program 2007/2008.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
