Saturday, March 12 - 10:00AM to 10:45AM
Amy Holmes George and Christina Z. Anderson will discuss how they have crafted their semester-based courses using the Precision Digital Negatives system (PDN) and will share the pleasures (and pitfalls!) of teaching alternative processes today. This workshop will introduce you to PDN, a method designed to create customized inkjet digital negatives for all contact printing processes. PDN effectively streamlines the workflow for generating correctly curved large format digital negatives in the classroom and will revolutionize the way you instruct alternative processes. The APW will include examples of syllabi, texts, online resources, material lists, and student images as well as George and Anderson's work.
