"The Uncanny Imagination" is a fabricated archive documenting amateur scientists and their varied attempts to uncover unique forms of communication. Using everyday material, marks and traces are produced through serendipitous discovery, and constructed pseudo-scientific devices. Each photograph reveals the extra ordinary role of the everyday object and its uncanny production of marks and traces. The role that specific objects and pieces of technology play in our daily lives, and the poetic gesture in the search for meaning and significance in the everyday, are the inquiry of this archive.
