Many students enter graduate school with the goal of becoming professors. Each member of the panel took a different path in order to fulfill his or her career goals. Some are employed full time, and some are still serving as adjuncts. The purpose of this academic practicum workshop is for the panel members to share their various experiences in pursuing and applying for different teaching positions. These five experiences are not meant to cover the entire gamut, but through these recollections and audience feedback, current graduate students and other adjunct faculty will find innovative ways to approach the job hunt in the current economy.
