As a photographer I have always dealt with the human figure, the mysteries of the fragility of life, and the processes of aging and death. While my sister was struggling with cancer, I became obsessed with what was happening inside her body. I began stitching internal organs on photographs. This led to a series of photographic instruments through which music is created by the images. In this age of technological advancements, my journey as a photographer is often swayed. Specifically, I see science and poetic expression informing my choices. Today I ask: Can I still call myself a photographer or does it matter?
