Today celebrities are adopting babies from all over the world, but
over fifty years ago Korean babies were the first international and
interracial adoptees. Previously, adoptive parents had told most
stories, but in the past twenty years, adult adoptees have begun
sharing their stories in their art. Today the number of adult adoptee
artists expressing their experiences and feelings about being
adopted is growing. This lecture will share the artwork of several
accomplished Korean adoptee artists who grew up in the United
States, Canada and Europe, and some of whom have moved
back to South Korea.
