SPE Southwest Chapter includes:
Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah
The Southwest & West chapters are excited to announce our call for entry for our second annual Virtual Film Festival.
Call for entry description:
Photographers have a long tradition of experimenting with moving images. We believe that still photographers are producing time-based work that is rarely given an opportunity to be seen -- and since many of our schools are teaching aspects of filmmaking, now is the time to share what our fellow members are doing. Our virtual Film Festival takes advantage of the online format to celebrate the cinematic creativity of SPE members.
The vocabulary of traditional filmmaking is quite well understood, so we are looking for video or moving image content that stretches the medium and its definitions in any way. We are looking to showcase the range and depth of what is possible today.
Accepted work will be streamed premiering on November 20th and available through December 3rd, 2021 as part of the SPE West x Southwest Film Festival virtual presentation. This event will be available to all Society for Photographic Education members. The Film Festival will premiere on YouTube, so please be aware of YouTube's copyright guidelines in your submission.
Submission (Extended) deadline: November 7th, 2021, 11:59 PDT
Please fill out this form to submit your work for consideration:
