Sam is a fine art and conceptual photographer and filmmaker based in Maryland, where they are fulfilling their BFA at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, located in Lancaster, PA. Whilst interested in all photographic forms, Sam's work consists primarily of self-portraiture and constructed imagery. Often drawn to the tensions between control and vulnerability that exist within the frame, they create works based on the ideas of identity, trauma, and the psychology of the human mind.
Sam currently works for their school as a Photo Monitor. Helping mix chemistry for darkroom printing, making sure Epson and Canon printers are in top-notch shape, testing to make sure equipment is in good condition for renting, and also being a mentor for multiple students, reviewing and giving advice to their peers works. Recently, Sam has had the opportunity to be part of the Red Rose International Film Festival's Internship program and serve as an official jury member for the Best Student Film selection.
