The swifts (rondoni) would appear every evening around dusk. My streaked window afforded me a lofty vantage point to sit and observe; dark spots darting across the sky with so many near misses, at least that's how it appeared to my eye.

Their indeterminate paths mimicked my own as I scuttled about not knowing where I was going until I had arrived. A web of crisscrossing movements bound together into a misshapen map, but one I began to recognize. My meandering route over several months informed how I was seeing: the ephemeral, the serendipitous, the comical, the mundane, the jumble that forms an idea of a place.
