about
I've had a camera in my hands since I was 6 years old. I started with an Official Girl Scout Camera and have been making pictures of the Northwest most of my life. My dream of becoming a "real" photographer finally came true. I taught at University of Iowa for 32 years and was awarded five regional and national NEA's in Photography, Installation and Video.
I was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2024 for my photographs of burn scars throughout the West. This late life achievement was the culmination of my 45 year career.
