As the rest of the world ponders Cuba’s future and with the American embargo weighing over the little island nation for over the past 55 years, Cubans proceed with their daily lives. This is done by their diligence, perseverance, ingenuity and at most with a sense of humor. An entire generation has grown up in Cuba under Communism and since the Soviet Union cut the tiny island loose in 191, the Castro regime has painfully tried to keep all control. Although they are deprived of many material possessions, Cubans find pleasure and appreciation within their community and its vibrant surroundings. This simple yet positive outlook towards life has made young Cubans resilient, resourceful and full of verve.
