Jacob Cecil received a BFA and MA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where he currently lives. He has taught high school art and photography in Howard County, Maryland since 2007. His artistic practice is guided by the work he develops with students as well as themes of family history and the legacy of the land in Maryland where he grew up and returned to for college. He currently lives in Baltimore City.
