about
I am an Italian-born, New York–based visual artist working across photography, drawing, and painting to explore themes of masculinity, vulnerability, and identity. I trained at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti in Turin and first emerged on the Italian art scene in the late 1980s with exhibitions that combined figuration and conceptual experimentation. Over time, my practice evolved from mixed media and large-scale drawings into a sustained engagement with photography, where I focus on capturing unguarded moments of human presence.
My latest monograph, Skin and Under (Artfineline LLC, 2025), was photographed in Colombia, Italy, France, and the United States. The 256-page volume features 192 black-and-white and color photographs alongside short fiction by emerging authors in four languages. Printed in Italy to the highest production standards, the book reflects my commitment to craft and to creating spaces where strength and fragility can coexist.
My work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections across Europe and North America. After stepping back for a long pause, I've returned to sharing my work with a renewed sense of purpose.
