This is a small photo essay that I made in March of 2020 shortly after the shelter in place order was put into effect because of Covid-19 and it's rapid spread.
I was teaching at the time but, because of the lockdown order, I was relegated to teaching on Zoom from my home.
I put this together as an example for my students on how to create a photo essay and one of their first assignments once we were able to gather together on Zoom for our classes was for them to document their families and what was happening.
It is so strange to look back with the perspective we have now and see just how bad it got; at this point, we all were assuming that we would all hunker down for a few weeks and then go back to life as we knew it.
At the point of the last photo, I think in hind sight that I was starting to realize how bad it was but just wasn't ready to face it yet...
