about

Daniel McInnis received his BFA from Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Dan has taught as a professor of photography at Ithaca College, American University in Dubai, School of Visual Arts (SVA), Wittenberg University, and the School of Art at BGSU. Dan has also served as Interim Chair of Fine and Performing Arts at Owens Community College. He is currently Associate Professor of Humanities at the Jesup Scott Honors College at University of Toledo. His work entitled "Heidi and Lily, Ohio 2014" was selected as a finalist and commended piece in the 2016 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition at the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution. Dan is currently working on a long-term documentary survey of American elementary school teachers. Through interviews and images, their lives and work environment are being examined in a "post-Covid", politically charged era.
