Often drawing on memory and emotion, Crystal Tursich's diaristic photographs hover between staged self-portraits and constructed moments. Recently, her work has been exhibited at the Dayton Society of Artists Project Space, the Defiance College Women's Commission Gallery, and 934 Gallery. Her work has also been included in many group exhibitions throughout Ohio and the midwest. In 2019, Tursich was the recipient of the EMERGE Fellowship Award from Midwest Center for Photography.
Crystal Tursich is based in Columbus, Ohio where she serves as Fine Arts Department Chair and Upper School Art Teacher at Columbus Academy. Previously, she has held positions as a Lecturer at The Ohio State University and an Adjunct Instructor at Columbus College of Art & Design. She holds an MFA from Columbus College of Art & Design and a BFA from Adrian College.
