Fresh Donor
The Fresh Donor series explores the deteriorating memories of Polaroid photographs. I began to destruct the Polaroid through cutting, injecting, burning and cauterizing it. These medical procedures blur the image into part representational, part abstracted deterioration. Instant film naturally decays without proper archival techniques. I sped up those natural and chemical processes and have left its remains, like organs, to be examined.
